I appreciate the added value this app provides for my XGPS 150, especially the mapping errors being eliminated.

This is exactly what I have been wanting. Have tested it in google earth and it is very accurate 1 meter +/- after a couple minutes. In vehicle there was very little lag in position and was accurate. Tested it also in off line topo-maps and it worked great. Now I just need more detailed and up to date maps for offline. Cant wait for some great hiking trail maps. Good Job !!!
…but doesnt work on the actual app.
Very stable and generally handy.
We purchased two of these for our two corporate jets, hoping to use them on the iPad 3...unless you sync them when the aircraft is sitting on the ground with virtually 0 kt ground speed, the Dual receiver isnt fast enough to figure out youre traveling 400kts and simply doesnt work. The app tells you that the receiver can see multiple satellites, that its "connected" to the iPad but no position information is transmitted. We now use the Bad Elf gps receiver, this works great at any speed.
With the new OS 6.1, the dual GPS apps "work" but my Ipod are unable to locate my. On OS5.1 every things work well but as soon as I upgrade to 6.1, I can track GPS Satellite , I know my position on Lat/Long But all those data arent send to my others apps. Its like if the ipod dont reconize the the GPS as e positionning device...
Just downloaded this app on my iPhone 5 with iOS 7 and it crashes continually. It wont stay open for more than a few seconds at a time. Obviously an update is needed for iOS 7.
Did not connect at all. Its not working and I have a iphone5s on iOS 7.0.6 update needed thx
Cant have position information with this app! We see satellite but that all
fix this please , you guys need to be ahead with the updates for upcoming os released , otherwise your product is useless.
Working fine with mi iPad iOS 8 and Marine chart Navx
IOS 9.3.1. App does not work just stuck with waiting for XGPS150... On the screen App works on my old iPod IOS 6 It needs an update ASAP
Needs an update. The XPGS150A works like a charm, but the Status Tool cannot detect the GPS unit. I contacted support, and they sent me the boilerplate blah-blah-blah about powering things off and on, sliding switches, uninstalling and de-installing,a nd doing it all again. All to no avail. Them, support contacted the app developers, who said it didnt work with IOS 9.3.1. Yeah, we knew that. "Wait a week, well have a new app in the App Store." Its been more than a week. No new app. Yet.
Im using the xGPS150 with the iPod Touch 4th Generation. I think this app itself is decent, but I have yet to get a sustained good reading from the XGPS150 unit. First, the battery status does not show up consistently. It works about 30% of the time. I have seen it display "charging" or "100% full." But often, nothing is displayed. I cant tell if its the hardware or app thats causing the problem. I live in Tokyo, so it GPS signals may be blocked behind the many tall buildings, but compared to other navigation products, it is inaccurate. On rainy days, theres not much you can do about it, but on sunny days, its still off. Think twice before making this investment. It may be better just to buy a portable navigation system. They are fine tuned for that. :-P
The app is ok, could be iPad native but sine its just to check some stuff its ok, the battery indicator does not seem to work always shows 100%. I do have to say the xgps150 is awesome with our iPad 2 wifi only ! Still looking for an app for a europe trip......
This app works perfectly. I sure think this app and the XGPS150 are excellent products for use on the iPad. What a great solution to WIFI iPads. Please make an iPad version of this app and Ill give it 6 stars. lol. Or at least let it auto-rotate on the iPad.
App is good to see that altitude is correct but it does not feed correct info to wingxpro its off almost 1000ft no reason for this if this app actually feeds the info to wingxpro so be careful as it is not feeding the correct altitude Im sure there is an easy fix like getting apple to allow wingxpro to use this info Ill do more research but so far not impressed with compatibility.
I like the app with my iPad2. Gives good info with the DualX150 gps. I like the altitude, heading, and speed, as well as having several options for referencing the lat. long. data.
Provides the same status info found on most GPS Units. Needs option or be configured for display in landscape mode for iPad2. iNavx users mount iPads on helm in landscape view. Not easily rotatable to view status.
Works great with XGPS150 and Jeppensen Flight Deck on my IPad 2
